Crest Fest 2010 is Saturday!!

Hey folks! It's that time of year. Time for the annual Crest Hardware Art Show, which is launched with one of the best daytime parties of the summer - Crest Fest! This year the SUBVERSIVE crew is back to host the DJ tent, along with a bunch of our friends. DJs for the day include: Baby K, DJ Tabu, Donny Burlin, AB Logic, George Quest, Bruce Tantum, Eric EQ, Peter Hale and Krunk Pony. Crest Fest also features a ton of great local bands, local food and an awesome selection of microbrews. As always, proceeds from Crest Fest are donated to support a local cause and this year's beneficiary is the City Reliquary Museum (www.cityreliquary.org). And don't foget about the main attraction of this whole thing - over 100 art installments by local artists, set up thoughout the store.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. While you all were finding the best view for the fireworks, we at SUBVERSIVE have been gearing up for a new event that we're very excited to announce!
On the success of this year's Crest Fest, the SUBVERSIVE Crew is teaming up with our new friends to bring you a fresh Sunday OUTDOOR dayime party at Union Pool in Williamsburg. Every Sunday afternoon come out and enjoy an eclectic mix of music and dance away your end-of-weekend depression on the huge outdoor patio. In addition to the usual suspects - Tim Carter, Hale and Eric EQ - we'll be bringing you some very special guests who will be annouced shortly.
...oh, and we also hear there is a taco truck involved, so that just seals the deal...

This Thursday night we're heading back to Keybar, our home away from home. Come out and join us for our favorite night of the month. 2 for 1 drinks until 10pm and then a new $3.50 shot special after midnight.

This month we've got special guest Nick Gold coming up from B-more to grace us with his selection of heady, atmospheric techno (ala Gui Boratto). Last time Nick was here he rocked it with a great warm-up set so we expect good things this time for sure!

Crest Fest 2009 Recap

Saturday's party went off! Great art throughout the store (especially that Technics turntable chair!!), great BBQ provided by Brooklyn Kitchen (http://www.thebrooklynkitchen.com/), lots of tasty adult beverages and beats provided by SUBVERSIVE.

The rain was no match for our large tent, so when it started to come down everyone packed inside and took things to the next level. I've honestly never enjoyed a rainy afternoon so much!

Crest Fest 2009 - the SUBVERSIVE Crew represents!

Very exciting news! This Saturday afternoon, June 13th, the SUBVERSIVE Crew along with special guests will be DJing the beer garden at Crest Fest 2009 in lovely Williamsburg, BK!

Crest Fest is an annual art festival curated by the owner of Crest Hardware. The main stage, across the street in the park, will feature bands and DJs. We will be in the beer garden behind Crest Hardware holding things down like we always do. For more info on the festival check out www.cresthardwareartshow.com.

The garden will be going from 1pm - 8pm. It looks like nice weather on Saturday, so we hope you all can get your asses out there! Drinking, dancing and good times guaranteed!!
